Volunteer Commitment
The number of credits required by families will be 10 for the 2026 season.
Instructions on how to sign up for a volunteer position, and how to check your family’s volunteer credits will be covered during the Parent Meeting on June 3.
Each Competitive Team family is required to volunteer throughout the season in order to run meets and social events. Every family will have a conditional fee per family, to be applied during registration but only charged to the pre-approved credit card after the season is over, IF the volunteer requirement is not met. Note: The pre-approval is not a "hold" on the card, so it won't affect the member's ability to use their credit card during this time. Instead, it is an authorization for their card details to be stored temporarily (with Stripe, not SwimTopia) for use in a future transaction, if necessary.
Volunteer opportunities will be listed alongside swimmer event sign-ups on the team website. Each job available will be accompanied by a job description, an estimated time commitment, and the associated credits earned for the job. Not every job is the same number of hours, and not every hour worked equals the same number of credits. Those jobs that are more necessary for the conduct of a meet or are less desirable will be weighted accordingly.
The jobs that you have signed up for and completed as well as credits earned by your family will be accessible at any point within your online account. If there are any discrepancies or questions, please contact the team representative as soon as you identify the issue so it can be addressed.
Please note that there will be volunteer requirements for All Stars, but there will not be any volunteer credits allocated for those jobs. Participation in the All Star meet carries its own volunteer requirement. So don’t wait until the end of the season to start accumulating credits.
